Adding a free style stamp

The situation may occur that you need to draw a stamp without a regular shape like a rectangle, oval, triangle, diamond or polygon. Fortunately, with Stamp Album you can also design the shape of stamps yourself. These stamps are called free style stamps or polyline shaped stamps. You draw these stamps by connecting the separate lines of the stamp one by one.

You can draw a polyline shaped stamp by pressing the button Stamp Polyline on the toolbar “Drawing” and then move the mouse to the page. You will see that the mouse pointer changes into a cross .

Press the left mouse button when the center of the cross is at the beginning of the first line. You can read the position on the status bar. You may release the left mouse button. If you  move the mouse the line will be drawn between the position where you clicked the left mouse button and the current mouse position. The toolbar "Dimensions" shows the position and size of the stamp during the drawing of the lines.

When the line has the right position and length press the left mouse button again. The first line is now drawn. When you move the mouse again the next line will be drawn starting from the end of the previous line. Please repeat these steps until you are about to draw the last line.

The last line must close the stamps frame. Therefore move the mouse to the beginning of the first line and click on the left mouse button. You have finished drawing the stamp. You can now adjust the properties of the stamp or perform operations on it. See also "After drawing a stamp".

Note:

If you want to draw more polyline shaped stamps you can hold down the SHIFT-key when you press the Stamp Polyline button. The button remains down until you press another button on the  toolbar "Drawing".
